Through our Projects for Social Change, we develop many active partnerships with student and community organizations. Our Student Organization Partnerships are developed through the Department of University Relations and our Community Partnerships are developed through our Department of Community Relations. Citizens for Social Justice is currently developing a partnership with Annette Kennedy at FloridaWorks, St. Francis House Office, for the purposes of our resident job placement program. Through FloridaWorks, we help all of our residents find employment within three weeks of acceptance into our program. We continue to revise their job searches and applications as their interests and skill levels continue to develop throughout the program. We are currently partnered with the University of Florida Medical School Chapter of the American Medical Student Association, and their Equal Access Clinic, for our Golden Door physical health care services. Through the Equal Access Clinic, we provide our Golden Door residents with comprehensive physical health evaluations and ongoing health care throughout their stay in our program. Citizens for Social Justice currently administers a partnership with the International Fine Arts and Healing student organization at the University of Florida through our Golden Door Arts Education program. They are active in leading the development and implementation of the arts education component, in cooperation with students from all arts-related disciplines. Citizens for Social Justice has been working with Students in Free Enterprise since the Spring semester of 2008 in developing the Golden Door program. SIFE students will be working to develop a financial literacy curriculum during the Fall semester of 2008. Last year, they provided consulting support for the development of the Citizens for Social Justice business proposal. Citizens for Social Justice is currently engaged in a partnership with the University of Florida Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Delta Sigma Pi members receive enhanced consideration for their applications to Committee Chair and Department Director positions within departments dealing with business affairs, in exchange for providing business leadership sustainability for the corporation.
