The Golden Door

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips.  "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

-Emma Lazarus, The New Colossus

The Golden Door is a student-run transitional housing and educational rehabilitation program for homeless individuals.  The Golden Door provides eight residents with a comprehensive support system that includes mental and physical health care, job placement and vocational training, adult education and GED opportunities, and a broad spectrum of Educational mentoring and support services.  Our program places currently homeless individuals in a healthy and constructive living environment, and provides them with the resources necessary to realize their own goals and chart a path towards accomplishing them.
