You may use the G-harmony resource by clicking here. If you are the leader of an organization that would like to participate in the G-harmony profile, please email your contact information and program description to gharmony@citizensforsocialjustice.com, and write "Gharmony" in the subject line.
G-harmony is a web resource linking students to Gainesville-based community and student service organizations. It allows students to search for service and civic engagement opportunities by interest area. It also allows community organizations to contact student service organizations in order to recruit student volunteers and form collaborative partnerships. In addition to recognizing service organizations through the G-harmony profile, beginning in Fall of 2009, Citizens for Social Justice plans to provide supportive programming for developing student service organizations through grant-writing and organizational development workshops. G-harmony will also host daily tabling events for service and civic engagement opportunities.
Our G-harmony model is derived from Yale University's Dwight Hall Dharmony project. Our plans for providing grant-writing assistance and organizational development expertise are derived loosely from the Phillips Brooks House Association at Harvard University.
